Senior Manager at Carbon Trust

Masaō is a Senior Manager at the Carbon Trust, where he leads projects addressing critical energy system challenges. His work spans innovation and assessments in network and system operability, demand-side flexibility, local energy planning, energy markets, and various other sectors in decarbonisation and net-zero transitions, including consumer participation and engagement. With a PhD focused on climate change implications for the UK’s wind energy sector, Masaō also plays a lead technical support role in yield and wind modelling work within the Carbon Trust’s renowned Offshore Wind Accelerator (OWA) Programme. His diverse experience enables him to bring a multifaceted, cross-sector approach to stakeholder needs. As a published author of numerous scientific and industry articles, his research covers a wide range of multidisciplinary aspects of energy transitions, including technical and whole-system applications.
