Helen left the Energy Research Partnership (ERP) in March 2017 to join Energy UK.
Helen joined ERP as an Executive Research Assistant in January 2012 and has recently become an Executive Analyst for the team. Her main role is to lead on shorter team projects and provide research support to the ERP Head and Executive Analysts . Since joining the team, Helen has assisted with the International Emissions Abatement Opportunities, Resource Use Strategy, Public Engagement & Managing Flexibility of the Electricity System projects. She has also more recently led on the Economic Value Assessments of Low Carbon Pathways project. Helen additionally looks after ERP’s communications, impact and strategy documents.
Helen is currently half way through an MSc in Renewable Energy: Technology & Sustainability at Reading University and before that, completed a degree in Environmental Management BSc at Birkbeck University.
Before joining the ERP, Helen worked for Cancer Research UK initially within Event Management until she joined the organisation’s Environment Team. Here she was partly responsible for creating and implementing the charity’s first sustainability policy. She was also responsible for collating, registering and reporting the charity’s energy data to the Environment Agency as part of the government’s Carbon Reduction Committment (CRC) scheme.
