In 2019 Andy became the Head of Low Carbon at Scottish Enterprise, the national economic development agency, leading teams delivering Scottish Enterprise support for the growth of the Low Carbon Economy in Scotland, working closely with public and private sector partners, regionally, nationally and globally to address climate change around the theme of Climate Opportunity.

Andy engages at the highest levels with industry, government and key stakeholders in Scotland, UK and internationally to ensure SE plays a key role in positioning Scotland as a leading European location for developing and manufacturing technologies and to help shape these important contributions to the Scottish Government ambition to achieve a net zero carbon economy by 2045 through a just, fair and inclusive transition. Key areas of focus are the decarbonisation of heat, mobility, energy and energy systems. As part of the Hydro Nation programme, we are also supporting innovation in the water sector.
